People & Events
People, gatherings, and the energy between them.
People and events photography is about presence: the gestures, conversations, and shared energy that give a gathering its character. Carlos Rubio photographs community life, celebrations, cultural events, and everyday moments in Nelson and across the West Kootenays. The work is observant and unobtrusive, making room for both the larger atmosphere of an event and the small connections that make it memorable.
